What is 'Click-to-Play' and how do I enable Flash for Heart of Vegas?

By enabling Click-to-Play, web content that requires plugins such as Java, Flash, Silverlight, Adobe Reader, QuickTime, and more will be disabled by default. Users must manually Click to Play plugin content on any given web page in order for the content to load. This provides a useful security control, so that malicious content is not automatically executed by the browser.

Click-to-play also allows you to conserve download bandwidth, improve page load times, reduce CPU usage, and extend laptop battery life.

You can manually enable Adobe Flash in Chrome by using the following instructions:

  1. Open Chrome Preferences/Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click Show Advanced Settings. (Note: this link will say Hide Advanced Settings if you have previously revealed them)
  3. Scroll to Privacy section.
  4. Select Content Settings.privsetting.png
  5. Scroll down to the Flash section.
  6. Select Ask first before allowing sites to run Flash option in the Flash section.
  7. Lastly, click the Manage exceptions link and make sure Product Madness is under the Flash Exceptions list and select 'Done' when finished.
